Are your dice balanced? We do not balance test our dice - they won't be great for the casino! They are suitable for casual play around your gaming table. Our inclusions do not significantly alter the weight of the dice. If we do not believe that a set would be suitable for random rolling, it will be listed as a decorative set.
-
Who makes your dice?We make our dice ourselves, by hand! We are geeky duo that handmakes everything you see in our store. If you want to know more about us, check out The Geeks!
-
How are your dice made?We design our dice digitally, and then print our masters on our 3D printer. We sand and polish our masters to prepare for mold making. From there we cast silicone molds, into which we pour epoxy resin mixed with various ethically-produced mica powders, inks, and inclusions. Once our dice are de-molded and fully cured, we hand sand and polish them to their perfect shine. We then hand paint the numbers to complement our resin design!
-
How do I care for my dice?We advise that you store your dice out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as all resins can yellow over time in direct UV light. To that end, our dice keep very comfortably in a dice bag or similar container. All are made of sturdy, epoxy resin, and should withstand standard effects of tabletop gameplay.

There are no dice in your store! If there are no available dice, we are currently restocking our collections! Prior to a sale, dice will be listed as out of stock for early browsing. Our sale dates will always be announced on our social medias (CR Dice & Critter Roles), through our email newsletter, and on our website. Check back in on a sale day! :)
-
Will the dice be perfect? As our dice are handmade, there are can be slight imperfections from the casting and sanding process. No two sets will be entirely alike--and we will never offer a set for sale that we would not use at our own game table! Any more significant imperfections will be noted in the listing.
-
I want to start making my own dice!Woohoo - welcome to the crafting club! There are many excellent resources for dice crafting online. What are the environmental and ethical considerations of dice making? We are very conscious of the environmental and ethical impacts of resin casting. We do our best to create in ways that are more sustainable and ethical. All of our micas are sourced from the company Mad Micas - you can read their ethics statement here. We are currently working towards ensuring that all of our glitters and inclusions are either ethically sourced or created directly by us. When this is 100% accurate - we will update this FAQ! Our resin and silicone are both ordered from Canadian companies: check out Resinate and Sculpture Supply Canada. We are also conscious of our resin waste and are currently working on ways to use miscasts and excess resin. Our items are packaged with recyclable materials.
